Where is a good place (bar/pub/restaurant) to taste local beers, either on draught or in bottle? Are there any new restaurant-breweries yet, like the Shato in Kyiv? I like to tour breweries as well as taste the beers, then write articles for beer publications.

try Arena Beer House, in Arena City, at the end of Chreshatik.

Shato in Kiev had good food, service, and presentation, but when I got home I found the exchange rate for this transaction was the worst of all my purchases in Ukraine, a lousy 5.00 to 1 USD.
