Can anyone tell me how to go to Haadyai from the Alor Setar airport. Are there taxis, vans, private cars offering the service from this airport or do I have to get into Alor Setar town to charter one? How much for the trip into Haadyai? Any other tips is much appreciated.Thanks.

I think my reply is long overdue but for the benefit of others who might want the information.
At Alor Star Airport, there are taxis that will bring you to the M'sian-Thai borders for about RM40 to RM50. Make sure that they bring you across the M'sain Immigration at Bukit Kayu Hitam and stop you either at the Duty Free complex or at the Thai Immigration where there are private taxis that will bring you from Danok to Hatyai. Price is about RM50 (500 Baht). Alternatively, you could also take the minibus from Danok to Hatyai for RM5 or 50 Baht. Just walk upwards about 200m from the Thai Immigration where on the left side there is a 7-11 store. The ticketing booth is in front of the store and you can see the minibuses park over there too.
