Hi - has anyone any viewpoints on safety in palestine at the moment? I am booked on a flight to Israel in the next few weeks and am concerned that whilst in Palestine (around Bethlehem) I will encounter hostility for being a white westerner. Although I am in a group - other members seem unconcerned about the situation - Am I overly concerned? Or right to be anxious over what seems to be a particularly intense time in the area?

Hey,
i ve been around in that region for some time now.. there is not at all any need to worry (and i am also a white westerner), the Palestinians are the most kind people and very welcoming. The only thing to worry about are the israeli soldiers especially at the checkpoint making problems for passing.. although usually as a foreigner you dont face these problems, especially going to Beitlehem.
