New Year's Eve on Easter Island??

Could anyone tell me if there are things to do on Easter Island on New Years Eve? Are there any parties or special ceremonies to attend? I have to convince my friend that its really great to spend New Years on EI, otherwise she wants to stay in Santiago. Please help me?

I had an answer from Easter Island:

There's too many things to do in Easter Island , especially for New years eve! ,.. you won't regret it!
