Planning to go italy this fall,I hope to visit Vatican City.

There is a Vatican Post Office just outside St. Peters. (Face St. Peter's and the PO is on your left) If any place could stamp a passport, that might be it. Normally, you just walk in and out of Vatican City; there is no apparent border. I never thought of my passport there. It's a neat idea though.
You certainly could ask the Post Office people and they may be able to help you if you don't get an answer here. Good luck.
