Hi some friends and I are hoping to travel to Stuttgart next weekend 07-09 July to watch the third place play offs of the world cup, we can get cheap flights to Baden-Karlsruhe (FKB) airport. I was wondering if you could give me some information on travel for the airport to Stuttgart city and also on how to arrange accommodation in Stuttgart.

There is not much to arrange - you take the bus (I think it's the line 206) to the Baden-Baden station and buy a ticket to Stuttgart from there. There is a connection every hour, mostly with a change in Karlsruhe.
Use www.bahn.de to plan the trip. You can buy tickets online, but it is not really necessary. If you arrive after 9 am you can buy a Baden-Württemberg-Ticket with which you can use all local trains and most buses in Baden-Württemberg (the state both BB and Stuttgart are in) for a whole day. Costs 26 Euro for up to 5 persons. It is not valid on IC and ICE trains though. You can choose the "only local transport" option on www.bahn.de to see the itinerary possible with the BaWü-Ticket. Otherwise you can buy normal tickets and use fast trains.
