You can join a group tour for around US$5. I think all the travel agencies in the backpack area of Saigon offer it. My friend & I joined a tour, which also included a side trip to Cao Dai Temple. That's the price we payed, which included the roundtrip bus ride and I think the entrance fee (can't remember if there was one). It's quite a bit away from Saigon, about 2 hrs??

Yep - we did a really enjoyable daytrip to CuChi tunnels from Ho Chi Minh - which included a Mekong river cruise and visit to Unicorn Island. Our best day trip of a 5 week holiday. Excellent place to visit, and wonderful guides on the day.

I also did a Chu Chi/Cao Dai temple combination in April. I just had my hotel book, and think it was about $7, but then we also had to pay the entrace fee at Cu Chi...

both places are fascinating...

Hi there,

If you want to you visit Cuchi yourself, you could take bus from Ben Thanh bus station(near Pham Ngu Lao str). Bus #13 Ben Thanh - Cu Chi. At the Cu Chi Bus station you have to change bus(bus #79 to get directly to the Cuchi Tunnels). It costs you about 7000VND for bus tickets of all the route. I think it saves more money than buying a tour. To get back, just take the reversed buses.

For any help, just give a msg or ring me if you want.
Enjoy yourself!
