I am interested in sharing stories with timeshare owners of Magen's Point Resort in St.Thomas, USVI, an RCI resort property. How can I get a list of owners and their e-mail addresses? My recent visit May 2006 as well as several other guests afforded us the opportunity to get to know the VI Police Department. Like all resort properties, crime is kept secret from unsuspecting guests. There must be a better way to keep visitors from becoming victims. I think tourist crime needs a web site where crime victims can post their stories. Interestingly guests may not know that on the back of their registration card is a waiver of all liability on the part of resort management for any act of negligence, any event, any time. If you miss it they will be sure to point it out if anything happens during you're stay.

RCI posts travel advisories. Maybe they can ad crime stories to the information they provide.

When researching a travel destination, Two things I check are local newspapers on the internet and the CIA factbook (http://cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/index.html). That are the only places I have found that comes close to giving a snapshot of crime in the area. You also have to read a bit between the lines sometimes.

We are owners at this resort and have had enough of the mismanagement of funds and lack of accountability on the part of the owners. Believe it or not, they have just sent our account to a collection agency because we REFUSE to pay any more "maintainence money." We are turning this over to our attorney. Anybody else having this paradise experience? I would like to contact other timeshare owners of the "resort."

We haven't been back since we purchased in 1994; mostly used RCI to trade our week. But I'm also fed up with the management.

Wonder if other property owners have thought about class action suit?
