I will be arriving at frankfurt for a three days trip to germany with wife and son (15 Yrs).
would like to know how best to see Germany in this short time and where to stay at affordable price, are there any tours by rail or auto bahn that one should take to maximise the use of available time, please advise. |

Not possible. You can see small parts of the country though. As to the rest of your question - please ask specific questions.

Frakfurt am Main is not that great for a trip to Germany. IMO it would be better to get a flight to another city. Munich, Hamburg, Berlin or Cologne.
websites to get you started: http://www.germany-tourism.de/ - official website by the Federal Government http://www.hessen-tourismus.de/ - official tourism website of Hesse http://www.deutschland.de/
