Please advise what the weather is like in Ko samet in September, I am thinking of either going to Ko Samet or Hua Hin.

if you wanna go see life on the beach, then koh samet, but if you wanna feel like peaceful, then hua hin...but all in all, koh samet is much more better as there are many beaches give you many different feeling starts from life to peaceful place. check this for koh samed:) http://thailand-travel-info.blogspot.com/2006/06/paradise-koh-samed.html and check this for hua hin:) http://thailand-travel-info.blogspot.com/2006/06/rockey-hua-hin-rockey-beach.html
have a good trip.

I was in Koh Samet last October just for a couple of days, and the weather generally was very good. We had a couple of rain showers but they didn't last long and the surface water soon evaporated.
Koh Samet is a much more relaxed place than Hua Hin and the beaches are much better, however evidently it can get busy at weekends with people taking a break from Bangkok.
Hua Hin though has a much lerger selection of restaurants and bars, being a bigger resort

Koh Samet if you want an island, I prefer Koh Chang. Hua Hin if you want somewhere close to Bangkok with beach and nature. September can be wet or dry, it varies a lot.
