Ko Tao Best way to go and to stay.

I intend to go Koh Tao leaving from Bangkok on january 12 and returning 14 because I have a flight on january 15 at 8:15 am.
Which would be the best and fast way to arrive there. Bus, Train?
Is it worthwhile to pass only one day in the island or there are closer and beutifull islands near Bangkok?
Do you know some resort around U$30?
Who doesn't dives can have fun at the island just making snorkeling?
I will spent 10 days in Krabi and Phi Phi area. Do you think it is worthwhile to go to Koh Tao just for visiting in one day or you would indicate another island.

Hi there,

I think if you will spent time in Krabi and PhiPhi area, it is not worthwhile to go to Koh Tao for one day. Let's go somewhere nearby e.g. Trang's Island or Koh Lipe where is located in Satun province. I'd been to Koh Lipe for 10 day on April. I did only snorkeling and it so beautiful.

Let's prepare yourself relex and chill out at the beach of some islands nearby Krabi and phiphi island instead of tired on bus or train for 1 day trip in Koh Tao.

By the way, if you still insist to going Koh Tao. Here is the info http://www.kohtao.com/howtoget.php

help it help. if u want any info, kindly let's me know.

cheers,
amy

The fastest way and most expensive would be by plane Bangkok Air from Bangkok to Koh Samui then ferry to Koh Tao.Cheaper fly One Two Go to Suratthani then ferry to Koh Tao.Cheapest but not fast Train Bus Boat combo ticket to Suratthani or air conditioned coach to Surathani then boat.
Have a look at
