Hi there can anyone tell me what airline travels to Sumy from Kiev & how often.
Cen anyone tell me is there a direct flight from the uk to Sumy.

Your help would be appreciated

You have to fly to Kharkiv (Kharkov) and then take a bus or train to Sumy. And if you fly to Kiev, you can take bus or train to Sumy, but train is late in the day and takes overnight. There may be a bus to Sumy from Borispol Airport in Kiev, I am trying to find that out myself!

You can write me the time of your arrival to Borispol Airport and I will book a seat in the bus which will go to Sumy from the airport. You will be in Sumy in about 4 hours.
I can also send you the schedule of the busses.

hi Andrey, thanks for your reply, i hope to travel to Borispol airport on the 23/12/06 the flight leaves the UK at about 8am . The bus seems the easier option as the trains i understand do not run until late. would it be possible to send me a time table & approx costs for the trip. I return to the UK on the 31 DEC or the 1 Jan 07, a time table for the return trip would be appreciated. thankyou Andrey for you help in this matter.

hi there! unfortunately, there are no flights to Sumy from anywhere in the world yet:(, the easiest and the fastest way to get here (except hiring a taxi) is to take a route bus that follows Sumy from Kiev via Borispol Airport - you will need to walk another 300 m from the "B" terminal to the bus stop right by "Boryspol Hotel" where you can take the bus to Sumy. The price is 50 grivnas for 1 pax (appr. 10$) and you'll arrive in Sumy in 4,5 hours. That bus leaves every hour, the only thing needed is a pre-booking that can be done by phone. Another convinient way to come in Sumy is travelling by train from Kiev, there's an express train that leaves from Kiev Central Railway Station at appr. 16:30 pm and arrives at 21:30 pm. There are also other trains for Sumy but as said before, you'll have to travel overnight.
