Trier is actually pretty easy...

The Porta Nigra is central to your tourist travels there. Most everything (including shopping) that you will want to see is within a good healthy walk of there.

These two links will let you know where the wine fests are...

If you are here for music, one of our local treasures is the Himmerod Abbey near Wittlich. They are famous for their organ and bringing in world-class organists from around the world.

I think you will find Trier pretty easy. It is not that large of a city, but large enough to keep you busy.

Hope you have fun...

If you haven't included the following sites on your trip to Trier, then you will miss out on a lot:

1. The Judengasse (Jews' Alley)
2. The Spielzeugmuseum (Toy Museum)
3. The Spielzeugmuseum (Toy Museum), where it is said the Holy Robe (the one Jesus Christ wore during the Crucifixion) is held. The robe is displayed every fifty years or so.
4. Karl Marx's house.

All of these sites are within walking distance to the Porta Nigra. Have fun!
