Hi, I agree that Fish Lake would be a good choice.
We've been many times on picnics and it's a really good spot. Well kept campground and a good beach area. Highway 120 is nearby and it goes straight North to Gurnee and Six Flags.It's about a 15-20 minutes drive. Have fun.
