Grenoble Homestays?

I applied for a position teaching ESL in Grenoble and I got it! (yay!) But I now have to find my own accomodations and I'd really like to stay with a French family, if possible. (I really want to be immersed in the language when I'm not at work.) Does anyone know of a way that I can get connected with families that would be willing to take me in? I'm 23 years old and very low maintenance. :)

I would check with the school offering you the job - in a lot of cases in France you can be eligible to have some of the cost of your accomodations re-imbursed by the government as long as you know ahead of time and negotiate with the people putting you up. They also may have a listing of 'familles d'accueil' which means the family has registered with the school and is willing to take in lodgers - this will be safer and more organized than just accepting offers from bulletin boards. Grenoble is a huge university town, and I am sure that if your school do not maintain a list themselves, they should be able to at least point you to a reputable organization which does have a listing of families.

well other than already suggested to contact the hiring university, you can also contact your consular section of your embassy for lodging information, I know the Americans and the British in Paris have a list to contact.
Otherwise, try the students exchange site below for Grenoble, you should find one or contact to help you there, good luck
