How to get from Venice to Ancona?
Is it better to go by train (around) or go by bus? How long is that and how much? Does anyone have link to bus terminal in Venice? Thank you Korljan |

I don't know if there is any bus option. Go by trian (via Bologna, usually). Try www.trenitalia.com for timetables and prices.

It takes over 4 hours by train, changing in Bologna, would be longer by bus and not necessarily cheaper - Italian trains are cheap compared with most other countries.
The bus station in Venice is at Piazzale Roma (across the canal from the train station, Santa Lucia) but it will not provide you with centralized information on the services of different bus companies. To find out whether there is a bus company that does this trip, see this website that covers all buses in Italy: http://www.orariautobus.it/Orari_autobus/Marche/Ancona/2/

Best way by train. No traffic, more comfortable. There is a direct train in the morning (around 7), and one in the afternoon (around 15), they both take 4 hrs, and you don't need to change in Bologna. To be sure to get the seat, don't reserve (3 Euros per person), but go there 15 minutes in advance and take the seat with the numbers from 71 to 86, whatever the wagon. They are free from reservation.
Moreover, the Ancona train station is well connected with the city centre or wherever you have your accomodation. Ciao! Angelo
