I will be in Egypt in November. I am looking for a reputable tour company, either US or Egyptian, that might have 3 to 4 day excursions to Petra roundtrip from Cairo. Can anyone recommend a company to me? Thank you. Linda

Why bother? It's very simple to do it without a tour company!

Do it yourself, Bus or Taxi, Hire a Driver and go to Nuwieba Catch the 3 pm Ferry and Catch a Taxi at Aqaba to Wadi Musa (Petra) and get a Hotel, Ask the Driver to recomend, We used the Amra Palace, quite nice , Cheap and Good Tucker. This way will give you freedom and more Time to yourself. Once at Petra, you will want to spend more time than you have, so work it out so you have the time. There are so many Forums and Agents that will Help you, it is so easy. No Hassles in Jordan, Different people altogether, So Close to Egypt and Israel, Yet the people are so pleasent and helpfull.
