Hello fellow travellers!

I will be arriving in Kunming within the next couple of weeks and was wondering if anybody who has been (or is currently residing) in Kunming knows of any foreigner (ie english speaking) church assembly?

So you wanna join the underground western evangelical movement in Yunnan? The Chinese sure do need dedicated folks like you (yes, tongue in cheek).

Anyway, to answer your question, the best place to meet other foreigners that carouse about in Kunming is a small street near the side gate of Yunnan U. (Wenming Jie, I believe). From that location, you can meet, mingle and ask around from the dozens upon dozens of foreigners here that are "studying" Chinese with wife, kids and family pet. You'll be sure to get leads there.

Just beware that foreign only services are exactly that and you can get tossed out for preaching too openly to the locals or inviting them to your services.

I forgot to add that the reason you'll find so many Lao Wai there is because of the number of western style restaurants and cafes, bookstores, and outdoor/adventure clothing equipment shops...
