Anyone know any good spots to do some fishing? Just from the bank, or a dock, river, lake, whatever. thanks!

On my last visit to Italy, I searched high and low for recomendations on sport fishing locations, much to no avail. Ultimately, I ended up going Anchovy fishing in the wee hours near Santa Margherita. While it wasn't my first choice for fishing, I had never done it before and was worth the effort.
If you search the internet for Italian Sport Fishing Clubs, you will find many and can email them for recommendations. This is how I ultiamtely did find places to fish near Lucca. It helps to read read/write Italian, however, you could use a free on-line translation service such as Altavista to post your questions in Italian. Good luck and great fishing.
