Yekaterinburg Travel Forum

I need to travel from Yekaterinburg airport to the city of Chelyabinskaya, and am trying to find out the best way of doing so. I think they are about 200Kms apart, so imagine there is a coach or train service between the two but am struggling to find any information.

Any help would be appreciated.

you can get from Yekaterinburg to Chelyabinsk by train N 830. It’ll take you 4 hours 20 min. It starts at 16.00 and arrives at 20.20. http://www.rzdmsk.ru/t/460.htm

By the way, a direct flight from Moscow to Chelyabinsk is available.
Here you can find the info about arriving to Cheljabinsk by plane. A schedule is in Russian but quite clear: city of departure (I guess it might be Moscow); number of the flight; time of departure; time of arrival and so on: http://www.chelavia.ru/timetable.html?dir=2

Then in Cheljabinsk you may either book a taxi 8(3512) 95-59-51 or use public transport: minivan N 31 or N 82, or a bus N 2 or N45 (depending on your direction). It’ll take you about an hour to get to the centre.

From Yekaterinburg I travelled by bus to Chelyabinsk. It takes about 4 hours and there are several a day. We actually did it as a day trip.
