How can I book and pay to camp on Portuguese Island; and what time of year is coolest and driest weather?

I might be wrong but I've never heard of camping at Portugese islands. As far as I know (only have been there once for 2 hours before going to Inhaca) there is nothing on the island. No people living there. On Inhaca a few km form portugese island there is a hotel and maybe camping facilities.
