hello
does anybody know a reasonable cruise to the longyearbyen region from bergen or somewhere else from norway... if yes, is it also possible to go by this in the mid of august? i could'nt find so far any, may be the season is not suitable... if it is, pls do notice me... thank you selmah |

You should go there by plane Also I would like to go to svalbard too next year. It is the best and cheapest way with plane , If you visit www.sas.no You can find a return ticket for 3 or 4 days on next june or august

I would also recommend going by plane!!! It's much cheaper and faster, and then you can allways go on a cruise around Svalbard when you arrive. August is a nice month to visit Svalbard, it's "warm", avarage around 5-7 degrees celcius in daytime and most of August you'll have midnight sun. When that is said you can also be unlucky and have 2 weeks with rain and fog and maybe snow... look at www.svalbard.net or www.svalbard.com for more info!
