I will be visiting Ottawa in July end for about 3 days.
Can anyone suggest me if there are any TOUR OPERATORS who organize a day trip to Upper Canada Village? Do they pick you and drop you back to your hotel?

Or else, Is there a public transport that goes to Upper Canada Village?

I live in Ottawa for more than 18 years and I haven't heard about Upper Canada Village. Sorry for my ignorance. Can anyone tell me what it is?

Upper Canada Village is in Morrisburg, south of Ottawa, near Hwy 401. Bank Street becomes Hwy 31 and goes right into Morrisburg.
Best bet for getting there is renting a car, sorry. But if you do that, you can also see Merrickville, a Victorian type village on the Rideau Canal (Route 43 off of Hwy 416). If you do find any tour operators that can take you there, please post it.

BTW, you may also consider going across the Ottawa River to see Gatineau Park, or go into Wakefield (another pretty village)... or see the waterfalls in Ottawa - Rideau Falls and Hog's Back on the Rideau and Chaudiere Falls on the Ottawa river by an island near Hull (Gatineau, Hull sector). I've not seen the Chaudiere yet but have seen the Rideau and Hog's Back many times.

I will not be renting a car, as I am pretty bad driver and prone to accidents whenever I drive.
Would want to know if there is any local transport that can take me to Upper Canada Village from Ottawa. I would be staying in Ottawa downtown.

Unfortunately the tours that seem to be going through Upper Canada Village are chartered by groups or they are part of a tour that only includes Ottawa among a bunch of Eastern Ontario destinations. Gray Line doesn't seem to offer anything either to Upper Canada Village either, which I find strange. Also I checked the website for Greyhound to see if you could take a bus to Morrisburg, but it doesn't even recognize Morrisburg in its system.

Best bet now would be if another VT'er could take you. I'll be away from Ottawa that weekend so I can't help in that practical way.
