Visiting St. Lucia and would like to know if anyone has any advice on some restaurants that would be able to accomodate this food intolerance. Seafood or Steak houses? Any ideas?

Try the Charthouse in Rodney Bay , they have good fresh fish and a lovely setting. For more casual try the Lime in Rodney Bay . They cook everything fresh so they should beable to make a special order. There is also Big Chef Steak House . The food is good in all of these restuarants and there are tons more in the area. Shouldn't be a problem.
Good luck and enjoy!!

I went to St. Lucia in July/06 and had a very nice time in Rodney Bay area. This is the only area i visited so my advice is based on this area. Unfortunately the restaurants were unfamiliar to Gluten Intolerance. However, because everything was so organic and natural I was able to eat out. I went to The Big Chef's Steakhouse and Del Mare. At Del Mare i had the grilled Salmon and at the Big Chef's Steakhouse the Filet Mignon and the Steak kabob with plain baked potato. I do not know whether I ingested gluten or not???. I also did some grocery shopping at their Supermarket and made lunches for myself. The people were kind and did their best to accomodate me. I think I made some smart choices during my stay and hopefully avoided gluten.
Good luck
