It is again me, I would be grateful if someone could tell me what is the cheapest flight to KAZAN from Edinburgh.

it's better to find cheap possibility to Moscow and then to move further by train. it will be cheaper and more comfortable, because the railway station of Kazan is exactly in the city center and the airport 20 km around outside and I heard with not good public transport connection (I used train always).

I searched on opodo for random dates in Oct and the cheapest seems to be with Lufthansa for around 630 GBP incl. taxes. That is the price to beat.

Another option could be Turkish Airlines from Heathrow, they have the best fares from Germany to Kazan. On their website I found a price of 330 GBP for a roundtrip with the same dates I used to search on opodo.

well, train Moscow-Kazan is EUR 25-30 one way and in any way it is cheaper and trains go by night that make the way enough comfortable (you take train 19.00 around and arrive in 8.00).
but of cause if you don't want to change flight to train in Moscow, get plane. yeah, Lufthansa has flights to Kazan as well as some local operators. Don't know Edinburgh-Moscow but Moscow-Kazan' is from EUR 75 by Syberia and Tatarstan aircrafts (chec www.s7.ru)
