How far of a drive is it from Doublin to Shannon Ireland. Also we will be touring the south of Ireland; any suggestions on places to see, please advise.

From Dublin to Shannon, about 3 hours, 3.5 max.
What kind of things do you want to see in the southern part of Ireland? This will help us help you.

It took us three hours to drive from Galway to Dublin, and Shannon Airport was about an hour from Galway.
Definitely drvie the Dingle Peninsula, the best thing we did on the trip. And then there's the Blarney Stone, and a small town called Kinsale that had the best food!

Definitely see the Waterford Crystal factory tour in Waterford--very interesting! We loved all the usual tourist spots--Glendalough in Co. Wicklow, Blarney Castle, Killarney, Mucross House, the Dingle Peninsula, Bunratty Folk Park in Limerick, the village of Adare. Have fun!
