| Lofoten | Visiting Lofoten Posted: Fri June 9, 2006 08:42 AM UTC
Hi,
I just read through all the posts here, thanks for the interesting info. Me and a friend are planning on going to Lofoten at the start of october. The plan is to stay here for a few days (say 4 or 5). Main goal is to see the northern lights. And if we can maybe go on a boat trip to see killer whales. Is october a good time to be going? I read somewhere it's not as cold then, but can get rainy? And how big a chance will we have to see the northern lights with the above plan? Thanks! |

check this for northernlights http://www.northern-lights.no/ and this for safaris http://www.tysfjord-turistsenter.no/safari/english/
I'd say you are a little bit early for the lights. And weather? certainly not warm, rain, slush, snow, wind -
