How long will this take by train and how often do the trains run? I'm coming in by ferry from Split. How would I get to the train station from the ferry terminal?

There are two good intercity trains that goes directly to Venice: one in the morning (around 9,30), and one in th evening (around 18). It takes 4 hrs.
Otherwise, with the cheaper interregionali (half the price), it takes about 6 hrs, and you have to switch in Bologna. Or you may take an interregionale to Bologna, and then take a Eurostar or an Intercity to Venice.
