Oxford is full of ancient pubs. One of my favourites is the Turf Tavern, reached by an small alleyway near New College. (A great piece of graffiti on the lavatory wall there was "You don't buy beer, you rent it!") Bon voyage!

The sentence is excellent.
Thank you for the address. I would rent a beer in this pub.

hey
i live near oxford, the turf is excellent as are many other (too many to name but you will soon find them, the eagle and child is where jr tokin (lord of the rings) and lewis caorl (alice in wonderland) used to meet for drinks, night club wise things are not very good, difinatly do NOT go to park end, try the bridge, the cellar and the zodiac are worth a go, also po nah nahs, while your in oxford go punting on the river (make sure the weather is nice and take some wine/beer/food. also go the natural history meusem and the pitt rivers museum (in the same building) look for the shrunken heads, If you are bored of oxford then hop on the an x4 or x3 bus to abingdon and visit some of the pubs there. try the nags head by the river, or kings head and bell which is very very old. you can walk to abingdon along the thames from oxford which is great when the sun is out! anyway im sure you will discover many other things while your there have fun jesse
