I'm in Newcastle with the boys this weekend for the first England match of the world cup,is there any big screens outside being set up ?. If not where is the best place to watch it for the atmosphere?

Answering this from Russia so can't be sure but other big matches have been shown on a giant screen in Times Square which is next to the Centre for Life and close to the Central Station. Also a new sports bar on the corner of Westgate Road and Grainger Street which is huge. Otherwise other likely spots which will have a good atmosphere will be Shearers Bar which is part of St James PArk or bars in the Bigg Market (City Vaults, Old George)
Send our love to The Toon!
