Waikiki Accommodation
Posted: Fri June 2, 2006 12:06 AM UTC
We are doing a world trip around this time next year and we would like to spend a week in Waikiki before travelling back to Oz, perhaps also a week on Maui. Does anybody ahe any tips on some reasonably priced accommodation, any hotels that are anywhere near the beach seem to be fairly expensive especially if you are on your last leg of a 3 month hol. Thanks for any help.

Aloha. Check out the Ohana Hotels. Some are 3 blocks off the beach at Waikiki and the rates are lower than beachfront hotels. They also have a hotel in Maui. See website: www.ohanahotels.com

Ocean Resort, Queen Kapiolani, Royal Grove are within two blocks of the beach and have rooms under $100 a night they are on the Diamond Head end of Waikiki. Ambassador, Gateway, Maile Sky Court are on the Ewa side of Waikiki and are about three to four blocks from the beach.

Hi,
I stayed at the Royal Grove Hotel mentioned above. I also made a tip in my Oahu page, so you can check it. I paid US$ 73 for a double room. It's really hard to find something cheaper than that.
Enjoy,
Rafa

I have a coupon for a partial oceanview room right across Waikiki Beach and the hotel was recently renovated and a great price at $130/night. Let me know if you would like more info.

The price and location sounds good but would it be valid for August next year?
