Koblenz How to.... Cologne Airport to Koblenz

I will be flying into Cologne and wish to get to Koblenz, but will not have a lot of time to do so. Does getting to Koblenz require that I take a ferry? Or is there a train that will take me from Cologne directly to Koblenz?

Of course there is a train connection. Look at www.bahn.de for the schedule.

The ICE (Intercity Express) from Cologne to Koblenz is quick and efficient. However, if you do get time in Koblenz, do take a trip on the River Rhine, it's absolutely gorgeous, know as the Romantic Rhine Valley. Really a must and not too be missed. Have fun :-)

There is a main line rail station in the airport. You can check timetables for direct connection to Koblenz. Alternatively, there are trains to Cologne Hbf every 15 minutes. There is a direct rail connection to Koblenz from there(1hour+)
