| Seward | Traveling from Seward to Homer Posted: Wed May 31, 2006 01:49 AM UTC
We are renting a car to drive from Seward to Homer in mid July. It is going to be $213. for the one way trip. we are going to visit friends in Homer. That sure seems expensive. It is with Hertz.
I understand that there is a van you can take but it is a passeneger van and will probably be full and not very comfortable for the fairly long drive. Does anyone have any other suggestions? thanks for your help. |

As far as I know Homer Stage Line is the way to go. I believe from Seward to Homer would run about $50 per person. It would be a comfortable trip and they are a great company.A more daring but inexpensive way is to thumb a ride which is fairly common up here. You might also post a free ad in the Homer & Seward newspapers asking for a ride and splitting gas.
