I will be arriving in Tianjin by train to take the ferry to Incheon in July. How does one get from the train station to the ferry terminal? How long does it take?

Any help appreciated, I can't get round the website (www.jinchon.co.kr) because it's only in Korean.

The ferry terminal isn't in Tianjin but in a nearby city (forgot the name but i'll look it up if i have time. If not i'll let you know somewhere on sunday probably when i 've landed back there). Don' take a taxi (i did but that was because i was late in the evening), i'll let you know which bus to get. OR maybe someone will respond earlier and let you know.

The port is actually at Tanggu, part of TEDA (Tianjin Economic Development Area).

Do either of you know exactly where the Jinchon ferry leaves from in Tanggu? I will need to get from Tianjin station to there quite quickly.

There is only one passenger's terminal in Tanggu. So you can't really miss it. apparently there are busses so ask when you get to Tianjin. We didn't get one since there were no more busses when we arrived from Korea. The taxi we shared with 3 did cost us 120 Yuan so about 5 dollars each.

does anyone know how long a bus or taxi takes from tianjin train station to the ferry port? thanks for any help

It has been over a year since i did that part and have done so much since then so i really can't remember how long it took me to get to the terminal. I do remember that i stayed 1 night in a hotel there since i came to the pier too late.
