This is THEHED, I posted a question about things to do in Edmonton....thanks for the great suggestions.

One more question: What about money? Are USD widely accepted for cabs, meals, drinks, tips, etc. Or should I exchange USD for CAN dollars?

All big expenses, flights, hotel are taken care of with credit cards. I'm talking about walking around money.

Once again I appreciate all the info.

Use the ATM's that are all over the city for Canadian $'s. I am sure everyone will take US $'s but you will probably get little if any exchange rate

Use canadian . without a doubt it is better and you wont get any funny looks.
If you use US you will probably get charged at par.
