| Sevastopol' | nizhniy novgorod to sevastopol Posted: Mon May 29, 2006 04:33 PM UTC
I'm studying in nizhniy novgorod, russia, and planning to go to sevastopol during the sumer holidays in july or august. I'm interested in transport options from here to there, like if i can take a train instead of flight, and how long the journey will be, and how much (approximately) will it cost.

You would need to get to Vladimir which is within 200 km from N. Novgorod, and catch a daily train 261 Kirov-Sevastopol which runs between 1.06 and 20.09. It leaves Vladimir at 13.13 and arrives in Simferopol at 15.14 the next day, which makes it a 27 hour trip. Then you would need to get on a marshrutka to Sevastopol right at the train station, which will get you there within 2 hours. The entire trip should be within $50.
Good luck.
