We are considering booking a trip to Jordan and the tour we like best uses the Jordan Suites Hotel in Aqaba. I'm failing to find much info on the web about the hotel. Has anyone stayed there, got any comments. I know its a 2* hotel but that's about all! Don't even know where in Aqaba - how close to the beach it is etc. Would be grateful for any help

It's probably around a quarter of a mile from the sea front, but the public beach is not really recommended for westerners. Almost certainly this hotel has a deal with another one to use their private beach, but since I don't know which one I can't tell you how far from it, sorry. In any case just about everybody in Aqaba uses taxis for this sort of thing - it's really hot for walking in the sun. A taxi would charge about half a dinar.
