the best period should be from dec to mar

I would avoid July to November as you will get more rain. Any other time is fine although as the previous poster said Dec- March is the High Season.

For 2007 I would not recommend March and April unless you would like to enjoy the Cricket World Cup.
I would suggest November – May. Notice that low season is from April to Dec and high season from Dec to April.

I've been in June a couple of times, but last year was there just before christmas and I have to agree it was wonderful.
