I would like to visit the old synagogue of the city of Veria (Veroia). I suppose it is usually closed.
How can it be arranged? Who should I contact? Thanks for your help! |

In Veria you can contact the "Municipal Enterprises of Touristic Development". Tel. +30 23310 75333, fax +30 23310 75334, e-mail veria_tourism@yahoo.gr
Address: Verois 2, Veria, zip 59100, Greece. They have also a kiosk for tourist info just after "Elia" (the most well known place in Veria proper). They are very helpful and give free a lot of brochures and CDs about Veria. The Synagogue, at Barbouta region, is restored and in very good condition, I have seen photos of both interior and exterior but I have not visited it. Stefanos
