| Cefalonia Island | Ionian Islands Holidays and Fiskardo Posted: Fri May 26, 2006 01:21 PM UTC
Hi - thinking of booking a week in Fiskado through Ionian Holidays but am concerned by stuff I've read saying that Fiscado is over-developed and apparently expensive to eat, etc? We have a small baby and want to be in a resort so we can stroll out with him in the evenings and have a few beers. Also thinking of hiring a car for a few days and a boat. Any feedback about Fiskardo or Ionian Holidays gratefully received.

Personally I would not stay in Fiskardo at all, very dissappointing, the main reason is the pollution of the beaches (pebble) with tar, the beaches to look at are picturesque, OK, but on closer inspection, yuk.
On the plus side the village certainly is not overdeveloped, but it is a bit pricey. There is one or two bars which are yachty oriented. I never use package companies so can't comment.
