| Great Keppel Island | Looking for work in Whitsundays Posted: Fri May 26, 2006 10:25 AM UTC
I am a 21 year old looking for a change in lifestyle and for more opportunities in life. I am interested in working in Great Keppel Island, Fraser Island, Hamilton Island etc. in the hospitality or administration industries. Are there any websites or information that anyone can give me in regards to where I can get started looking for such work? Many thanks!!

These jobs are very popular. Go into the local employment areas/agencies in Geelong and they should have info on these. The bigger ones will have agencies in these areas that they can contact.
You can check out at the Governement agency with the touch screens. Best Employment also have a good info usually.

Fantasea which is a big cruise company in the Whitsundays are advertising for staff. They are looking for cruise hostesses etc so that might be a good place to start. They have a very big turnover of staff in the Whitsundays because backpackers come and go so you should be able to pick up something fairly easily. We were up there in December last year with some friends. Our friend was wearing all black which was what all the wait staff were wearing. The manager came up and asked her if she had any waitress expeience and she said that she did. He offered her a job on the spot and asked her to start immediately. I don't think that you would have too much trouble if you have the right attitude. Good luck
