Bùzios Cost of travelling in Buzios
Posted: Tue May 23, 2006 08:48 AM UTC
Is Buzios very expensive for a budget traveller? I hear it is very expensive, especially in December.

What are the best way for transportation? Will a rented motorbike do?

Anybody ideas for hotels/accommodations not more than 100 Brazillian Real per night per room?

Check out:

www.buziosonline.com.br/indexe.htm

or

www.buziosturismo.com/indexingles.htm

These sites give info about the buzios area as well as links to a variety of accommodations. I hope these sites help.

In terms of Brazil, it is expensive at the height of the high season. Compared to Europe, not. You can get there from Rio on a comfortable and inexpensive bus, and - while there - walk! We stayed with friends, but you should be able to find a room for R$100.

A room for R$ 100... I dunno... Don't expect much. I think you can find, but it won't be a good hotel.
At least you'll save a lot going by coach! And, in December, the city will be "bombando", as we say in Rio (don't be afraid: "bombando", "bombing" = full of interesting people on the streets; I think you'll really enjoy Rua das Pedras and the restaurants there, at night mainly).
