| Tarragona | weather in February? Posted: Tue May 23, 2006 04:16 AM UTC
Hi-- We are considering exchanging our timeshare for a week at Estival Park. What is the weather in Tarragona in mid February? Would this be a good choice for a family with a 17 year old daughter? Will there be enough to keep us busy for a week? Will it be too cold to do the water park or swim in the pool in February? How is the resort overall? Any info you can provide to help us make this decision would be appreciated. We would like to go to Spain during our February vacation, but the timeshare exchange availablity is very limited. Estival Park is available, and looks like a lovely place on paper. Thanks so much for your help.

I'm afraid it will be pretty miserable. Cold and wet. Most things for holidaymakers will be closed. Your daughter will hate it and so, probably, will you.
If you want to go to Spain at that tjme of year, you have to go right down south. Colin

Colin is right. February is winter, not so cold as NYC can be... but you could not swim in the pool (unless it's a indoor pool) or sea, and of course all waterparks and other "summer things" will be closed (included many restaurants, clubs...) By the way Estival Park does mean Summer Park... the name says it all!
You will have better chances of beach weather in the coast of Andalusia (and even there some areas are too cold in February). Your best bet will be Canary Islands, and they have many interesting things apart from beaches if you dare to explore. Or choose any city destination in Spain where you may find other activities.
