Leiden Travel Forum

I work/live in Los Angeles County. My work is sending me to our office in Leiden, the Netherlands next week. One of the managers there always brings me chocolates and yummy little treats when he's in California, and I'd like to reciprocate with a similar "token gift" for him and some of his colleagues. I've asked several of my co-workers for ideas and no one has any suggestions (I've only been told NOT to bring chocolate because their's is so much better!) I'd love any suggestions or ideas. I'm not too far from Hollywood and I'm fairly close to Disneyland, if that helps. Obviously it has to be something that I can easily slip in my suitcase.

- If somewhat which is not food is OK: I would bring some colorful Mex or American Native stuff. You know, what is usually sold at powwow.
- In Europe they are more relaxed regarding alcohol, so if you can get these extremely mini-bottles with American booze inside (Mex is also fine), they will appreciate.
- Otherwise not easy, indeed. We usually bring blank DVD+/R, blank mini-DVD tapes and maybe some flash memory sticks - this kind of electronics commodity is cheaper in the US.

Food: Sticky Buns (or real donuts). Hard to get here.

A few bottles of California wine would probably be appreciated. Most Calfornia wines which are available in Holland are rubbish.
