as in the question above.
Is there anything interesting to do in Hatyai such as shopping? eating? Nothing much can be found on this webpage. |

Visit the Hat Yai page of VT Chiabh. He just came from there and finished uploading his tips. I browsed through them yesterday and although I'm not planning a trip there, found information on his page of interest.

In the upper right portion of the screen, there is a box. Type what/who you are looking for in the box, click either destination or members on the adjacent box, then click search.
In relation to my post above about VT Chiabh, he replied to your post. So you can just click on his name (above his picture on the right hand side) and you will be led to his page. From there, go to his travel pages (with the map) and browse.

if you like elephants, you can wait for them to show up in the evening along Prachatipat Rd.(in front of Lee Garden Plaza Hotel) and Thamanoonvithee Rd.Usually a single elephant shows up,but if you are lucky you might see 3 of them, just like on our 2nd night there. You can also feed them, for Bt20 per plastic of sugarcane.

A bit overdue but for the benefit of others who might want the info.
Shopping is of course there especially fake branded goods like LV, etc. Attractions would include the Waterfall (Tone Nga Chang & Ton Prew), Songkhla Beach, temple visits where many now like to go to Wat Nattawee for fortune telling (they come by bus load sometimes), the MCP tunnels where the communists hid there for several years and its amazing how they can even have a motortcyle learning ciecuit inside the tunnels. Food is of course plenty from street vendors to posh restaurants. You can also try the different type of massages like ancient massage, oil massage and foot reflextology, pamper yourself with hair wash, facial, manicure, pedicure, dig ear, clean eyes (bet you have never even heard of it), etc. There are plenty to do if you're game to try out. Cheers Tee Vee
