My dad lives just outside Durban and he rarely gets to wear warm clothes even in winter. A light jacket for the odd cool night should be sufficient - depending on what temperatures you are used to. If you are closer to the coast, it will, of course, be cooler. Should be good weather though - n ot much rain.
Ushaka Aquarium is nice, although its quite new so the tanks still need some bedding in. Make sure you take a visit to the Valley of a Thousand Hills for some great scenery. Have a great trip.

In winter, the KwaZulu-Natal coast is much warmer that the snowy Drakensberg to the interior. Maritzburg last week had frost when I was there.

Durban in June is probably like Miami in December? Both tropical cities in their respective winters.

Durban is pure beach town. Otherwise not much too see. Too bad you are going in June. Beaches are SUPER to swim during summers. If you want to sight see, go to Cape Town, J'burg.
