| Kotor | Kotor-Tirana...how long? Posted: Mon May 22, 2006 03:27 AM UTC
Hello,
I've seen some posts similar to my question, but I'm looking for more current info for July 2006. Does anyone know how long it would take to get from Kotor to Tirana, Albania? We'd like to do it in a day. It's OK if it is a long day. Is the only route: Kotor-Ulcinj-Shkodra-Tirana? Thanks. |

Hello from Budva
There will be one-day trip from Budva to Tirana starting from 01.06.2006. The trip will be organised every day The trip begins in the morning. Departures are from Budva. We are passing Sveti Stefan, Petrovac, Bar, Ulcinj. It takes cca 2 hours to get to the border on Sukobin. After the border, we meet Shkoder where we take panoramic tour and stay for a coffee break.Further we go straight to Tirana (modern motorway). Shkoder - Tirana is 97 km distant. In Tirana we take panoramic tour by bus through the downtown. Then we have an organised lunch in a national restaurant. After lunch we are visiting the Sky Tower- Vodafone building in the centre where we take a coffee break with a beautiful panoramic view from the top of the building over whole Tirana. Later, there is 3-hour facultative time for sightseeing. The trip includes journey in luxury bus with tour guide services. The price of the trip is 55 euro with lunch included. The organiser of the trip is Tour Agency Mijovic Travel Budva Contact: +381 86 452 168, 452 166 fax +381 452 475 e-mail mijovic.travel@cg.yu Best regards, Branko Popovic

Branko,
Thanks for info, very interesting. We (two adults+3 kids) very likely will be in Crna Gora this Summer, around mid-July. It also may happen, my parents will join us, so it could be 7(!) people. Few questions: - Do you know any inexpensive, clean private accomodation in the area? Closeness to the beach is not extremely important, but I won't mind :-) We know, there is always a crowd with "sobe" sign, but... (see next) - Unfortunately I will be still working while on vacation, so I would like to have access to Internet for 1-2 hours every day. - Language skill of host is not important, if they speak Serbian (oops, sorry, Montenegrian) slow enough we understand. My parents do not speak English at all, Russian is fine - you got the idea, I think. The second choice would be German. - What language is used by guide on the tour to Tirana? thanks!

Branko,
The arrival will be around July 11-July 15 - we are flexible, and depend on the availability of room(s). TV, cable, etc is not important: we are not really used to it. Clean bathroom, kitchen useage is more important. Aircondition is not very important. Availability of Internet is extremely important. If it counts: in all countries of former Yugo as well as Bulgaria we strongly prefere the local food, no international. We cannot stay more than probably 10 days. Hvala

We might be interested. Does the 55 euros cover the mini bus from Kotor and any border fees?
Will you drop us off at our hotel in Tirana? Thanks again, Jason and Corinne
