lets say ill be staying in Brisas or club Amigo in Guardalavaca, how much would a cab cost to get to holguin downtown, and how long is the ride?

The journey to Holguin should take about 45 mins to 1 hour the cost could be around 40CUC

thanks yeah thats about what i payed going from pesquero, but i though guardalavaca would be closer. or is it the very western hotels on the beach that are closer. anyhow its still too muchif im planning to go more then once. do you know if a cuban person would have to pay with CUCs and not moneda national to get to guardalavaca. i mean i dunno how it works but i assume its less
