I believe the Jaragua does for reasons I rather not go into. However they may charge an "outside guest fee and for security reasons ask the person for ID or their cedula (a Dominican ID. card).
It might help to call the hotel you're interested in beforehand anyhow and ask them tactfully because policies could change. Bear in mind this is something a hotel and it's staff will not always look upon lightly and is something they really prefer not to deal with. An "outside guest" more often than not usually means something vice related.

We just booked at the Marriot Courtyard.
Supposed to be no problem.
