| Fussen | Paris - Fussen - Venice Posted: Thu May 18, 2006 08:10 AM UTC
Hi Everyone,
I am planning a trip in April next year and I need to know the following: Best way to get from Paris to Fussen. To see the castles is it best to stay in Austria, if so what is the easiest and closest place to get me there. Or would we be better off going from Paris to Munich then Fussen. As time is limited I need to know is it Austria or Germany? Any help would be wonderful. Thanks |

Füssen is in Germany.
DB timetable http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/e From: Paris To: Fuessen (or Füssen; note: Fussen is wrong spelling and will lead to wrong results) To: Hohenschwangau (this is the village close to Füssen where Neuschwanstein Castle is located) To: Venezia (Italian for Venice) http://www.fuessen.de http://www.hohenschwangau.de http://www.neuschwanstein.de

To shorten the trip you could consider to fly from Paris to Munich with dba
https://www.flydba.com/app/fb.fly?l=en From Munich to Fuessen you can use the train like described in the previous reply.

I'm not sure but you could attempt to come from Innsbruck thru Reutte as another possibility, I drove into the area as i found poor train connections other than from Munich.
good luck
